Abstract

Abstract. The objective of this research is to raise Javanese alphabet nglegena writing skills at students on the third grade through the use of Numbered Heads Together model based on Javanese Alphabet Cube media. Research about Classroom Action executed in two cycles. Every cycle composes of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects are 20 students and teacher of the third grade. Techniques of data collection are observation, interview, test, and documentation. Validity data test techniques used are validity of content and triangulation. Data analysis technique consists of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Based on the outcome of this research, it is obtained that the class’ average grade on pre-action is 49,03 with classical complement which is 5%. The class’ average grade in the first cycle increases to 70,5 with classical complement is 55%. Furthermore, the class’ average grade in cycle II increases again to 83,78 with classical complement is 90%. The conclusion is the use of Numbered Heads Together model based on Javanese Alphabet Cube media can raise Javanese alphabet nglegena writing skill at students on the third grade of SD N 3 Macanan, Kebakkramat, Karanganyar at the academic year 2018/ 2019.Keywords: Javanese alphabet nglegena writing skills, Numbered Heads Together models, Javanese Alphabet Cube media.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to improve the reading comprehention skills of children’s story through the use of learning models Visualization, Auditory, and Kinestethic (VAK). This is an action classroom research that carried out for two cycles. Every cycle consist of four steps there are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Technique that used for collect data are observation, interview, test, and documentation. The data validity test technique uses content validity and triangulation. The data analysis technique uses interactive model learning. The result of this research showed that the initial pre-action test score were 47.33 with classical completeness of 10.34%, increased in the first cycle by 69,71 with classical completeness of 51.73%, then in second cycle it increased significantly to 80.36 with classical completeness of 86.21%. Referring to the results of this reserch it can be conclude that the use of VAK learning models can improve the reading comprehention skills of children’s story in fifth grades students of SDN Sayangan No.244 Surakarta academic year 2018/2019.   Keywords: Visualization, Auditory, and Kinestethic (VAK), comprehention reading sklills children’s story, Elementary School

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze the ability of profile teachers from elementary schools. The subjects were 14 teachers taken from all the teachers in Elementary Laboratory School of Benguet State University in Philippines. This was a mix methode of qualitative and quantitative research. The instrument used had 15 items with HOT Levels that were comprised of C4 (Analyze) represented in 5 items, C5 (Evaluate) referring to 5 items, and C6 (Create) referring to 5 items. The result of teacher’s ability to analyze is showed by two category, there are: 1) the category based   the subject of teachers, and 2) the category based on the item object questions. The level that could be analyzed by the teachers with the highest percentage of 93,33%. Meanwhile, the lowest percentage that could be analyzed by teachers is 33,33%. While the category based on the object items in C4 level is 77,51%, in C5 level is 58,94%, and in C6 level is 67,41%. Based on the result, it could be concluded that in analyzing HOT questions the ELS teachers could analyze the questions correctly, the ELS’s teachers were classified in the good category in analyzing the HOT science questions.Keywords: HOT (Higher Order Thinking), analyze questions, teachers, and elementary laboratory school

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study is to improve reading comprehension by using learning models Examples Non - Examples with visual media. The form of this research is classroom action research and carried out in two cycles. The cycle consists of four steps, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were homeroom teacher and fourth grade students. Data analysis technique is interactive analysis consisting of three components, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data collection techniques used are documentation, observaation, interviews, tests. Data validity using data triangulation and technical triangulation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that through the application of Examples Non - Examples with visual media can improve comprehension reading skills for IV students of SD N Bumi 01 Surakarta in the 2018/2019 academic year.Keywords : Examples Non-Examples Learning Model and visual media, reading comprehension ability of stories

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to improve the reasoning skills in the plan figure by applying Means Ends Analysis learning model. The subjects of this research were students of IV class at SDN Serengan II Surakarta in the 2018/2019 academic year, totalling 28 students. This research is a Classroom Action Research with three cycles. Data collection techniques are using observations, interviews, test and documentation. Data validity tests are using technique triangulation. Interactive model of Miles-Huberman was used to data analysis technique. The initial condition of reasoning skills of IV class the average value class score of 32,64 with 0% in classical completeness. The first cycle began with the first learning resulting in increased 7,14% with 41,00 of average, second learning was 21,43% with 49,14 average. The study continued with second cycle with percentage 57,14% with average 68,79, second learning was 50% with 72,68 average. The study continued with third cycle with the percentage was 78,57% with 77,07 average, second learning was 85,71%  with 81,21 average. Based on the results, it can be concluded that through the application of the Means Ends Analysis model can improve the reasoning skills in class IV SDN Serengan II Surakarta 2018/2019 academic year.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to improve the understanding of the concept about comparing simple fractions with the application of model pair checks. This type of research is a classroom action research conducted for two cycles. Each cycle includes the stages of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Data collection techniques are using tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Data validity test techniques are using content validity, source and technical triangulation. Data analysis technique used is an interactive model. The results showed the average value of the pre-action class score of 55,55 (14,28%), in the first cycle the average value increased to 73,55 (61,90%), and second cycle the average value increased to 80,93 (90,48%). Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that through the application of model pair checks can improve the understanding of the concept about comparing simple fractions for third grade of SDN Asinan 2, Bawen, Semarang in the academic year 2018/2019.Keywords : concept understanding, comparing simple fractions, and model pair checks

Abstract

The purpose of research is improve problem solving skills in the stories matter of solid geometry by applying the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model. This research is Classroom Action Research with two cycles. The subjects of this research were students of VB class at SD Negeri Danukusuman in the 2018/2019 academic year, totaling 32 students. This research uses data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, tests, and documentation with data analysis of source triangulation, technique triangulation, and content validity. The analysis of the data used is the interactive analysis model of Miles-Huberman. The initial conditions of problem solving skills of VB class students showed 18.75% classically. The first cycle began with the first learning resulting in a percentage of 38.7% in classical, the second learning was 40% in classical, and the third learning was 51.75% in classical. The study continued with the second cycle with the percentage of achievement at the first learning amounting to 73.1% in classical, the second learning was 82.15%, and the third learning was 87.5% in classical terms.Keywords: problem solving skills, creative problem solving learning model, stories matter, solid geometry

Abstract

The purpose of this research were to improve the social skill through Cooperative Learning Model Students Teams Achievement Divisions(STAD) combined with Snowball Throwing to 5th grade students of Sendanglo Boyolali State Islamic Elementary School in the academic year of 2016/2017. This research were conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflectioin. The subject of this research were the teacher and students of 5th grade in Sendanglo Boyolali State Islamic Elementary Shcool. The data collecting techniques of this research are observation, interview, and documentation. The data validity of this research is tested using source triangulation. The data analysis technique used is interactive analysis model. The result of this research was shown that implementation of Cooperative Learning Model STAD combined with Snowball Throwing can improve social skill. This evidenced by increasing the result of observation social skills in each cycle. On the precycle, frequency attainment of social skill in good and very good categories as much as 6 students (27,7%). On the firsy cycle, increased to 13 students (59,09%). On the second cycle, increased to 20 students (91%). Based on the analysis of the result, it can be concluded that implementation of Cooperative Learning Model STAD combined with Snowball Throwing can improve the social skill of the 5th grade students of Sendanglo Boyolali State Islamic Elementary School in the academic year of 2016/2017

Abstract

Critical thinking skill is one of 21st century competency. Therefor, critical thinking skill is an important skill to face the desruption era. The purpose of this research is to enhancing the critical thinking skill trough double loop problem solving model based experiment. Utilizing a classrom action research which conducted in two cycles. Each cycles consist of four steps i.e planning, action, observation and reflection. The data was colected by using several technique such as observation, interview, documentation and critical thinking test. Also the data was validating by the expert because this research use validity content to validating the data. The interactive model was used to analyzing the data. The assessment of this research showed that both of student’s critical thinking skill and teacher’s performance increase continuesly. Based on the result, it can be concluded that trough double loopproblem solving model based experiment enhancing the student’s critical thinking skill of heat and transfer for V grade students.

Abstract

The purpose of the reseach is to improve the skills of presenting data in the form of diagrams through the use of the Problem Based Learning model in fourth grade students of SD N Laweyan No. 54 Surakarta 2018/2019 school year. Classroom Action Research is conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings with four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were teachers and fourth grade students, amounting to 34 students. This study uses observational techniques, interviews, documentation, and tests. Data analysis using interactive data analysis with steps of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The data validity test technique uses source triangulation and technical triangulation The results showed that the average score of pre-action class scores of 17.97 with 0% classical completeness increased to 75.88 with 61.76% classical completeness in the first cycle and increased again to 87.25 with a classical completeness of 88.24% in cycle II. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that through the application of the Problem Based Learning model can improve the skills of presenting data in the form of diagrams in class IV SD N Laweyan No. 54 Surakarta 2018/2019 school year.
